You may ask, “Why buy from the US?” There are two primary reasons.
1. Some products are not readily available here in the Philippines.
2. Even if it is available, the price is really high compared to the online shopping sites in the US.
The problem with this is if you will calculate the item price + the shipping costs + custom tax, you will end up paying more than just buying it here in the Philippines. Unless you have relatives or friends that are coming here from the United States, it is not really practical for some of us. This is where companies like pobox.ph, Johnny air cargo, Forex, etc comes handy. Be aware though of the warranty issues. If you’re unlucky to get a defective item, you can say goodbye to your money because it is not cost effective to ship the item back to the US. That’s the risk one will need to consider when buying from the US.
